The fourth annual one day 4-H event will be held Saturday, Oct. 13. This will be held in conjunction with National 4-H Week, Oct. 7-13.

One day 4-H is one day for all the 4-H members, leaders, parents, and volunteers to step out into their communities and county and say “thank you” by giving back for their more than 105 years of support to 4-H in Texas. This day of community service is whatever each 4-H member, club, or county 4-H Program wants it to be. It could be as simple as picking up trash or mowing the lawn for senior citizens, or as elaborate as hosting a 5K Walk/Run and raising money for a cause.

Over the past three years, more than 38,000 members and adults have stepped up, and out, into their communities and served more than 764,462 Texans in their time of need.

The 14 Wilson County clubs that comprise the Wilson County 4-H include the Bentwood 4-H, the Bluebonnet 4-H, the County Line 4-H, the Eagle Creek 4-H, the Freedom Riders 4-H, the Labatt 4-H, the Lonestar Horse Club, the Post Oak 4-H, the Red, White & Blue 4-H, the Stockdale 4-H, the Sunnyside 4-H, the Three Oaks 4-H, the Tower Lake 4-H, and the Wood Valley 4-H.

For more information, call 830-393-7357.
