Kaitlyn Cantu Montoya is honored to have been chosen to represent Josie Trevino, director of the Floresville Peanut Festival webpage, in the 2012 Floresville Peanut Festival. Kaitlyn, the 17-year-old daughter of Poli and Helen Montoya, is a senior at Floresville High School. She has two younger sisters, Heather and Erica.

Kaitlyn is a member of the National Honor Society, Link Crew, and the Red Cross Club. She is also a member of the Jaguar softball team and has received Academic All-District recognition the past three years. Kaitlyn is also active in the community. She has volunteered for Habitat for Humanity and at Connally Memorial Medical Center, and has also participated in Relay For Life. She is a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, where she is part of ACTS. She is also a member of the Junior Catholic Daughters of America.

Kaitlyn would like to thank her good friend Esteban Mireles for being her escort.

Esteban Mireles is the 17-year-old son of Guadalupe and Joy Mireles, and is a senior at Floresville High School. Esteban is a member of the Tiger varsity football and soccer teams and has received recognition for First Team All-District goalkeeper in soccer, and First Team All-District kicker in football.

Kaitlyn would also like to extend her sincere gratitude to Josie Trevino for the opportunity to represent her in this annual tradition.
