Jocelyn Martinez, 17, is honored to be representing the Air Force Junior ROTC in the 68th annual Floresville Peanut Festival.

Jocelyn, a senior at Floresville High School, is a member of the National Honor Society. She plans to attend St. Philip’s College’s Culinary Institute of America in San Antonio program.

The daughter of Jose and Dora Martinez of Floresville, Jocelyn is the granddaughter of Virginia Martinez of Laredo and the late Jose Martinez Sr., and Jose Flores and the late Maria Flores. She is the sister of Jennifer Puente and Jessica King of San Antonio.

Jocelyn is the proud aunt of four nephews and two nieces, Anastasia, Autumn, and Ace Puente, and David, Nicholas, and Christopher King.

Jocelyn’s escort will be Luis Occhiuzzi, a 17-year-old senior at Floresville High School. Luis is the son of Alfred and Irasema Occhiuzzi.

He is the corps commander of the Air Force Junior ROTC for the fall semester and is currently enrolled in the Aerospace Academy. Luis is involved in Student Council, the National Honor Society, and the varsity Tiger football team.

Luis plans to attend the Air Force Academy or the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
