Emily Morehous is proud to represent the Floresville Band Boosters this year in the Peanut Festival. Emily, a senior at Floresville High School, is the daughter of Brian and Theresa Morehous, and granddaughter of Tony and Wilma Sumpter of Floresville and Thelma Morehous of Lynne, Ind., and the late Carl Morehous.

She has been in band for seven years and plays the alto saxophone in the Mighty Tiger Band. She serves as president, saxophone section leader, and committee head of the Uniform Crew. Emily was also in the Jazz Band last year. She is a member of the Student Council, Link Crew, and the National Honor Society. Upon graduating, she plans to pursue a degree in broadcast journalism.

Emily would like to thank the boosters for allowing her to represent them this year as well as James Wayne for being her escort.

James Wayne, also a senior at Floresville High School, is the son of Johanna and Roland Krellwitz, and the grandson of Jim and JoAnn Hale.

James has also been in band for seven years and plays the clarinet in the Mighty Tiger Band. He serves as the senior representative and clarinet section leader in the band. James also plays on the Floresville High School varsity tennis team and has progressed to the regional tournament several times. James is also in the Floresville Leo Club and regularly participates in mission trips for the Floresville United Methodist Church. James wants to attend Texas Tech and major in architecture. He would like to thank Emily for choosing him to escort her.
