Liesel Denise Raabe is honored to have been selected by the Floresville Knights of Columbus Council No. 6641 to be their representative in this year’s Peanut Festival and Coronation. Liesel has grown up attending and serving at many Knights functions, so this is truly a special honor for her.

Liesel, the 17-year-old daughter of John and Tammy Raabe, is a senior at Floresville High School. She is a member of the National Honor Society, Link Crew, Texas Association of Future Educators, and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and is a class officer. Liesel is also very busy in athletics, competing on the varsity track team for three years, and the varsity basketball and cross-country teams for four years. For her accomplishments, Liesel has been awarded numerous academic and athletic awards. Upon graduation, Liesel plans to attend Texas A&M University.

When Liesel is not involved in school activities, she is busy volunteering her time in the community. She is a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, where she serves as a Eucharistic Minister. The second vice president of the Junior Catholic Daughters, she also is involved in the Youth Group and Post Confirmation studies. She has served on four ACTS retreats and enjoys helping other teens grow in their faith. Liesel is also an active member of the Eagle Creek 4-H Club, where she serves as secretary.

Liesel is no stranger to the Peanut Festival festivities. She served as the page to the 59th Court of American Spirit and Queen Ryann Beth Rocha.

Liesel will be escorted by Matthew Hoelscher, the son of John and Debbie Hoelscher. Liesel is looking forward to this year’s festivities and would like to extend her gratitude to Matthew and to the Knights of Columbus for giving her this opportunity.
