Candidates' Forum: Diana Garza
Candidate for: MAYOR OF FLORESVILLE
I am a candidate running in the Floresville city election on Nov. 6. I was born and raised in Floresville and have been married for 38 years. We have two daughters, one son, two sons-in-law, and four grandchildren. My previous experiences include management, marketing, human resources, and real estate.
My top priority is assuring that Floresville’s infrastructure can accommodate the current and future growth opportunities our city has. This includes ensuring the sewer treatment plant and street projects are completed and city funds are allocated appropriately. I intend to monitor the budget closely to assure it is being done according to current auditing standards.
In order to achieve strategic growth, I will strengthen communication by listening to the concerns and ideas of civic leaders, local business owners, and residents. I will support our police and fire departments and ensure they are provided with the tools to do their jobs and provide service to the community.
Floresville is rapidly growing and demands a representative who is diplomatic. Someone who can listen to the issues at hand and work to find a solution that is in the best interest for not only current residents but future generations as well. It is my goal to prepare and guide citizens through the challenges we face now and in the future as our city continues to grow.
As your next elected official, I will make it my job not to win back but give back the loyalty, trust, and respect that all residents deserve.
