Candidate for: SHERIFF

I am a Wilson County native, a Floresville High School graduate, served in the Texas Air National Guard, a lifelong farmer and rancher, and member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Sandra and I have been married for 42 years and have two daughters, Michelle and Amy, son-in-law Mark, and two grandsons, Logan (6) and Carter (2).

In the 20 years since I took office, this county has seen many changes. The population growth due to the increasing Eagle Ford shale business has presented many challenges, which I will continuously respond to by representing the citizens and my department each budget year to increase the number of patrol officers and to request raises for the employees of my department. This will benefit all the citizens of Wilson County by reducing response times for dispatched officers.

In the past couple of years, calls for service have increased due to Wilson County being one of the fastest-growing counties in the state of Texas. My department will continue to have officers that respond to all calls. Having additional officers on patrol throughout the county will ensure citizens better protection and service for their needs. I will also continue to have employees who are dedicated to the residents of Wilson County.

I pledge continued service to the citizens of Wilson County and respectfully ask for your vote in the November 6 general election.
