ON-CALL CRISIS POOL WORKERS NEEDED. Part-time positions are available for after hours “on-call” crisis workers to respond to mental health crisis for Wilson and Karnes Counties. Duties include crisis interventions, assessments, referrals to stabilization services, and referrals for involuntary treatment services according to the Texas Mental Health Laws. You must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, etc. On-call hours are from 5 p.m.-8 a.m. weekdays, weekends and holidays vary. If selected, you must attend required training and must be able to report to designated safe sites within 1 hour of request for assessment. Stockdale runners compete in Shiner

SHINER -- The Stockdale cross-country teams participated in the Shiner Cross Country Meet Oct. 6.

In varsity boys competition, Jordan Jackson led the way with a time of 17:37. Austin Gonzales finished second for the Brahmas with a time of 18:31, and Samuel Scriven and Austin Akin were close behind with times of 18:50 and 18:54, respectively. Perry Bone finished in a time of 20:25, Zachary Campbell was a second back at 20:26, and William Morris was a minute behind at 21:26. Ethan Chavez finished in a time of 21:32. Victoria Lerma represented the Lady Brahmas with a time of 18:22, and Kaitlyn Morris turned in a run of 18:33.

In junior high competition, Collin Akin led the boys with a time of 14:08, followed by Mark Salinas in 14:45, and Robert Santos with a time of 20:07. Kristen Daniels led the junior high girls at 15:38, followed by Destiny Gonzales and Nicole Miller with times of 20:16 and 21:04, respectively.
