Four members of the Red, White, and Blue 4-H Poultry club of Wilson County participated in the poultry show at the State Fair of Texas Oct. 13-14 in Dallas.

Michael Schwartz exhibited his Australorp pullet to earn the champion large fowl junior show.

Sarah Schwartz earned first place in the White Bantam Arauca division.

Stefan and Stefani Petersen earned second and third place in the Bantam Cochin and Black Copper Marion division, respectively.

In the egg competition, Michael placed second in two egg divisions, the brown bantam egg and the bantam egg content. Sarah’s entry earned first place in all other color bantam egg division.

According to Susan Schwartz, this is the first time this 4-H club participated in the state fair.
