The deadline to enroll for fall credit by examinations in the Stockdale Independent School District (ISD) is Friday, Oct. 26.

Students in Stockdale ISD may use credit by examinations to accelerate one grade level in grades 1-5 or to earn credit in academic courses in grade levels 6-12.

Students in grades 1-5 may demonstrate mastery in a grade level by scoring a grade of 90 or above on each grade-level test in four general core curriculum areas: language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies.

Students in grades 6-12 may take the credit by examinations to receive credit for an academic subject with or without prior instruction. To earn credit by examination with prior instruction, a student shall earn a grade of 70 or above on the examination. For credit by examination without prior instruction, a student shall earn a score of 90 or above for credit to be awarded.

Testing for credit by examination will be conducted on Nov. 6, 10, and 13, in Stockdale High School at 503 South Fourth St. in Stockdale.
