Due to not meeting the minimum number of registrants for the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training class set for Oct. 26-28 has been cancelled.

The class, set to take place in La Vernia, was sponsored by Wilson County. CERT is a program that prepares residents to help themselves, their families, and their neighbors in the event of a disaster.

The county plans to reschedule the event for sometime after the holiday season.

For more information, call LeAnn Hosek at 830-393-8351.

Something else to say 2: Two weeks, really? If you want people to know about something, you need to know how to get your message out. Two weeks is a joke.
