SARA welcomes public input on parks
San Antonio has experienced substantial growth and change during the past six years. With it, community needs for park resources have grown and changed, as well. In June 2006, the San Antonio River Authority (SARA) published a San Antonio River Basin Plan for Nature-Based Parks Resources to guide the development of park resources in SARA’s four-county district: Bexar, Wilson, Karnes, and Goliad counties. Based on the social and economic changes to local communities that have happened in the past six years, SARA is now updating the plan to include new park resources that have been developed as well as to quantify the need for parks.
During the month of November, SARA will host an open house in each of its four counties for the general public to comment and make additions to the Plan for Nature-Based Parks Resources.
