Frankie Lorraine (Thurman) Stoever, 82, of Stockdale, Texas, passed away Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012, in Stockdale. She was born to Frank and Edna Merl (Sweatman) Thurman on March 16, 1930, in Harper.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Eugene Stoever Sr.; and her brother, Forrest Thurman.

Frankie is survived by her son, Eugene Stoever Jr. and wife Carmen of Adkins; daughters Karron Childress and husband Verne and Louise Stoever, all of Stockdale; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two great-great- grandchildren; brother-in-law N.J. Stoever of San Antonio; sisters-in-law Ida Matocha and husband Al of Houston and Dorothy Baldwin of Kerrville; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation was held Tuesday, Oct. 30, from 6-8 p.m. in the Finch Funeral Chapel in Stockdale.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the funeral chapel with the Rev. Scott Jones officiating.

Interment will follow in the Stockdale Cemetery in Stockdale.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Stockdale, 202 South Seventh St., Stockdale, TX 78160; or the Melvin Neill Scholarship Fund, c/o Finch Funeral Home, Drawer 69, Stockdale, TX 78160.
