Stockdale 48
Bloomington 0

BLOOMINGTON -- One week removed from the team’s 34-6 loss to Poth, the Stockdale Brahmas got back on track with a lopsided 48-0 win over the Bloomington Bobcats.

Scoring results and statistics were unavailable as of press time, though the most important number is known, and that is district wins. The victory improves the Brahmas to 3-2 in District 15-2A DII play, and leaves the team alone in fourth place. With only three teams advancing to the playoffs, hope is still alive, but things aren’t looking good for Stockdale.

Karnes City and Dilley are currently tied for first with 5-0 district marks. Poth sits in third with a 4-1 district record, and Stockdale is fourth. The Brahmas will host Karnes City this Friday, Nov. 2, and Stockdale has to win to keep its playoff hopes alive. Meanwhile, Poth and Dilley will be playing, as the Wolves try to hang on to a share, at least for now, of the district crown.
