Alvarez is a top attorney finalist
Olga Alvarez is a finalist for top attorney in estate planning/probate and trust.
Alvarez is a member of the San Diego County Bar Estate Planning, Trusts and Probate Section, The Elder Law Section, and has served on the Probate Rules Committee. She is a member of Lawyers Club and has served on the Diversity Task Force and Balance Committee. She is also a member of the California Advocates for Nursing Home Reform and has served as a speaker for the State Bar of California’s Speakers Bureau for Financial Elder Abuse: “Identification and Prevention Program.”
Her personal affiliations include sitting on the board of trustees for the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center in Balboa Park, and coordinating the partnership between Sullivan Hill and Washington Elementary School in Little Italy.
Alvarez is proud of her upbringing on a farm outside of Floresville that has been in her family for about 125 years. She graduated as the valedictorian of her class at Floresville High School in 1987. She received a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Texas, a master’s degree in public affairs from the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin, and a law degree in 2002 from the University of San Diego School of Law. Alvarez has represented trusties and beneficiaries, trust litigation cases, and many others. She holds the position of counsel.
She is the daughter of Jonas and Olga Alvarez of Floresville.
She resides in San Diego, Calif., with her husband, California native Dr. Michael J. Gonzalez. They are the proud parents of 8-year-old twins, Belen and Lucas.
