1937-2012

Hercilia Castillo passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012, in San Antonio, Texas, at the age of 75 years, 9 months, and 5 days. She was born on Jan. 25, 1937, in Floresville to Adolfo and Maria Montoya.

She was a lifelong resident of Floresville.

Hercilia was preceded in death by her parents; and one infant daughter.

She is survived by her husband, Jimmie Castillo of Floresville; children Diana Sanchez and husband Gilbert of San Antonio, Mary Esther Quintanilla, Johanna Castillo, Peter Castillo and wife Edna, and Waldo Castillo and wife Jaime, all of Floresville, and Larry Castillo and wife Anna of New Braunfels; sisters Virginia Adame of Amarillo and Mary Lou Ybarra of San Antonio; brother Ismael Montoya of Floresville; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, Nov. 2, at 5 p.m., with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. in the Franklin Funeral Home in Floresville.

A Mass was celebrated on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Floresville with the Rev. Phil Henning officiating.

Entombment followed in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum in Floresville.
