Lyssy, Wagner unite in marriage
Kelsey Marie Lyssy and Russell Kyle Wagner were united in marriage on Nov. 19, 2011, in Corpus Christi, Texas, in the St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church. The Rev. Hahn Van Pham officiated at the ceremony. Altar servers were Annica Lyssy and Mitch Lyssy.
Kelsey is the daughter of Jeanette and Leo V. Lyssy Jr. of Falls City. She is the granddaughter of Ernest and Anzelma Drees of Falls City, and the late Claude C. Pawelek and the late Lillian and Leo V. Lyssy Sr., all formerly of Falls City.
Russell is the son of Laddie “Doc” and Patty Wagner of Shiner. He is the grandson of Leonard and Norma Dunnahoe of Ingleside, and Lillian Wagner of Shiner and the late Laddie Wagner Sr.
The maid of honor was Kimberly Lyssy, and bridesmaids were Ashley Lyssy, Heather Titzman, Kristin Jurgajtis, Amber Brown, and Katie Monahan. The best man was Steven Lyssy, and groomsmen were Michael J. Lyssy, Anthony Lyssy, Jared Howard, Ricky Calderon, and Matthew Bauer. Ushers were Trey Kroll, Bryan Davis, Chris King, and Joseph Mathew.
A reception was held following the ceremony in the Solomon P. Ortiz International Center in Corpus Christi. After a honeymoon trip to Breckenridge and Denver, Colo., the couple reside in Corpus Christi.
Kelsey is a graduate of Falls City High School and Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi with a Bachelor of Science in nursing. She is currently employed at Driscoll Children’s Hospital in Corpus Christi.
Russell is a graduate of Shiner High School and Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, with a Bachelor of Arts in communications. He is currently employed at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi as an alumni and engagement officer in the College of Liberal Arts.
