La Vernia counselor night a success

The La Vernia High School counselors held a “Counselor Orientation Night” on Oct. 22. Topics covered were high school graduation plans, credit requirements, college tips, new SAT/ACT procedures, and a review of the counselor website. It was a very informative way to get out the information to parents who had questions and concerns in an open forum.

This year we had a record attendance and we are hoping to increase our involvement every year. When it comes to planning for college, you can never be “too prepared.”

A special thank you to Tracy Reinen for all of her hard work and expertise in organizing such a successful event.
