The Boscamp’s Arrowhead Ranch 2012 Charolais Bull Sale will be held Saturday, Nov. 17, at 11 a.m. at the Gonzales Livestock Market in Gonzales.

The sale will include 25 all virgin, fertility-tested, 2-year-old bulls. Each bull has weight data for birth, weaning, and yearling available, including expected progency difference (EPDs) data.

According to the website, Arrowhead Ranch was established in 1962 in Gonzales County. In 1964, the first Charolais bull was purchased to use in its operation. In 1975, the first of many Charolais females was introduced to the herd. “About half of the cow herd are descendants of the first Charolais bulls used, with the other half from purebreds purchased from 10 different states.” The ranch also used artificial insemination and embryo transplants to enhance the genetics the Charolais industry has to offer.

For more information, contact Clay Boscamp at 830-857-5130, David Shelton at 830-857-5394, or Mike Brzozowski at 830-857-3900.
