‘Texas Traffic’ offers true testimonies from farmers, ranchers, law enforcement agents who paint grim picture of violence flowing onto U.S. soil from Mexico
AUSTIN--In an ongoing effort to seek increased federal resources to enhance border security, Agriculture Commissioner Todd Staples today announced the fourteenth video posting in a 16-part series titled “Texas Traffic -- True Stories of Drug and Human Smuggling.” The series is available at www.ProtectYourTexasBorder.com.
This week’s video features a Texas rancher who hides his identity to protect his family from violent Mexican drug cartels that might retaliate against him for speaking out.
“They just bring drugs and loads right in front of you, just blatant,” he said. “If I am standing there and they are looking at me, I’m not going to call anybody, because I am not getting involved. If they don’t see me, I call the Border Patrol.”
Each week for 16 weeks, the Texas Department of Agriculture is releasing videotaped interviews with law enforcement agents, farmers, ranchers and other citizens. These “Texas Traffic” stories offer firsthand accounts of drug running, human trafficking, international trespassing and other criminal activities linked to dangerous Mexican drug cartels.
“The Mexican drug cartels are violent, they are relentless in accessing the American drug market and they have chosen Texas as their primary access point,” Commissioner Staples said. “Unfortunately, President Obama and his staff continue to make jokes about the situation and suggest our border is safer than ever. The ‘Texas Traffic’ testimonials prove cartel activity is here on the U.S. side of the border.”

Excuse the run on sentences. The adrenaline was typing. We on the border are living the wild wild west, and thats typically okay with me as long as everyone else knows it is the wild wild west. But also know that I have to take extraordinary precautions that most readers here dont even have to consider. I won't list them here, but I do travel in an obviously extraordinary vehicle (with most of the options) for my trips along the border and onto the ranches. This is not for just in case, but for what has already happened.

I live 7 miles from the Mexico Border. Two weeks ago 710 KURV radio originally reported that a border patrol helicopter spotted at least a hundred illegals and at least 3 people carrying AK47's almost a mile north of my house (I live in the city). It raises my hackles to know that these people come armed into my country willing to do harm to us. Fortunately, surrounding police and federal officials rounded up most of the illegals. It was also reported they found one AR15 bb gun: Considering all the corruption and misinformation surrounding our areas Sheriff office (9 indicted deputies and the sheriff resigned for money laundering) and FBI (arrested agents for lying about its reports) it hard to believe anything reported anymore! I have personally seen the human trafficking on these ranches and crossing major highways and I believe our borders are wide open and we are being invaded. We absolutely need to control our borders as required by the law.
