Crank opens Hunters Pond Rehabilitation
SAN ANTONIO -- Hunters Pond Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is the newest facility of its kind in San Antonio and the latest of three locally owned and operated communities managed by Heritage Healthcare Co.
Hunters Pond, located at 9903 Hunters Pond on the city’s southwest side, will provide short-term rehabilitation and skilled nursing care, as well as long-term and respite care. Their mission of “Caring with a Servant’s Heart” leads them in their goal to honor the heritage of those whom they serve and those they employ.
This is evident in the artwork chosen to adorn the halls of Hunters Pond, offering a pictorial celebration of San Antonio -- highlighting cuisine, sports, entertainment, and history. Facility amenities also give a nod to the flavors of San Antonio, with access to a spring-fed fishing pond, gazebo area with raised gardens and barbecue, Wi-Fi throughout, and large sitting areas, including a private dining room for intimate gatherings.
Services at Hunters Pond will be tailored to those individuals who call San Antonio home. The Texas-sized rehabilitation gym will house the latest in therapeutic modalities, including E-Stim, Vital Stim, recumbent cross trainers, and real-life practice areas for tending to home and garden. The highly trained skilled nurses will be equipped to address an array of clinical needs, including advanced wound care, tracheotomy care, and infusion therapies.

Owner Tim Crank is an East Central High School graduate who studied at the University of Texas at Austin and earned his master’s degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio. He began his career in the health-care industry in 1996, working as an administrator and then regional director of operations before obtaining his career goal of opening his first facility on his beloved southeast side of San Antonio.
Hunters Pond joins Crank’s Westover Hills and Pecan Valley locations to serve the city’s rehabilitation and respite care needs.
