Help Wanted

ON-CALL CRISIS POOL WORKERS NEEDED. Part-time positions are available for after hours “on-call” crisis workers to respond to mental health crisis for Wilson and Karnes Counties. Duties include crisis interventions, assessments, referrals to stabilization services, and referrals for involuntary treatment services according to the Texas Mental Health Laws. You must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, etc. On-call hours are from 5 p.m.-8 a.m. weekdays, weekends and holidays vary. If selected, you must attend required training and must be able to report to designated safe sites within 1 hour of request for assessment. Compensation is at a rate of $200 per week plus $100 per completed and submitted crisis assessment, and mileage. If interested call Camino Real Community Services, 210-357-0359.

Daniel and Melissa Small of Floresville, Texas, are proud to announce the engagement and upcoming wedding of their daughter, Kandace Michelle, to Brian Alan Johnson, the son of David and Cindy Johnson of Stockdale.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Daniel and Konnie Small of Decatur, Neb., Gary and Linda Tolliver of Seattle, Wash., Sara Lane of Floresville, and the late Glenn Reid, formerly of Floresville.

Kandace is a 2006 graduate of Floresville High School and a 2012 graduate of the Galen College of Nursing. She is currently attending Excelsior College pursuing a bachelor’s degree in nursing and works as an LVN at the Karnes City Civil Detention Center.

The prospective groom is the grandson of the late Milton and Dorothy Johnson, formerly of Stockdale, and Frances Tremaine of San Antonio and the late Robert Tremaine.

Brian is a 2002 graduate of Stockdale High School and is currently employed with TNT Crane & Rigging Inc. as a crane operator.

The couple plan to wed on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, in the First Baptist Church in Floresville with Judge Marvin Quinney as officiant.
