Handel’s ‘Messiah’ Dec. 1-2 in SA
The San Antonio Symphony will be joined by the San Antonio Symphony Mastersingers for three performances of the Christmas portion of Handel’s “Messiah,” Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 1-2, at various locations in San Antonio.
Conductor Patrick Dupré Quigley of the San Antonio Symphony will lead the musicians in this timeless classic as Mastersingers director John Silantien incorporates soprano Kathryn Mueller, alto Cindy Sadler, tenor Eric Schmidt, and baritone John Buffet into the performance.
Performances are as follows:
•Saturday, Dec. 1, 7:30 p.m., University United Methodist Church, 5084 De Zavala Road
•Sunday, Dec. 2, 2 p.m., Coker United Methodist Church, 231 E. North Loop Road
•Sunday, Dec. 2, 7:30 p.m., Trinity Baptist Church, 319 East Mulberry.
