Dorothy Schlueter Forqueran, 76, of Fredericksburg, Texas, went to meet the Lord on Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012. Dottie was born in Seguin on May 18, 1936.

She graduated from Seguin High School in 1955. Dottie was married to Harold Forqueran on Oct. 23, 1964. They celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary last month. She worked as a legal secretary for many years and was proud to have achieved a state bowling championship title in Wyoming. She enjoyed sewing and reading, but her true love was spending time with her grandchildren and those she loved. She was a kind, thoughtful, and generous woman with a sweet smile and contagious laugh. Dottie was a blessing to those who had the pleasure of knowing her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fritz and Edna Schlueter; her mother- and father-in-law, Daniel and Gladys Forqueran; and siblings Leroy Schlueter and Velma “Nookie” Holcomb.

Dottie is survived by her husband, Harold Forqueran; and her two daughters, Tracy Mandeville and husband Todd of Allen and Kelly Fowler and husband Pat of San Antonio. In addition, she is survived by five precious grandchildren whom she adored, Ryan, Todd, and Jordan Neece and Avery and Coleman Fowler. She was recently blessed with the addition of a granddaughter-in-law, Lindsey, and a great-grandson, Cylar. She is also survived by numerous other family members and friends.

Dottie’s family would like to thank those at Hermann Sons Home for the Aged in Comfort, Evergreen Villa, and the nurses and staff at Hill Country Memorial Hospital in Fredericksburg for going above and beyond in their continued love, care, and support.

A celebration of her life was held on Saturday, Nov. 17, at 2 p.m. in the Beckmann Funeral Chapel in Fredericksburg with her grandson, the Rev. Todd Neece, officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association National Headquarters, 1301 Pennsylvania Ave., NW, Suite 800, Washington, D.C. 20004.
