Immanuel Lutheran Church is now hiring for a Youth and Family Ministry Director. Pastoral: Minister to youth and their families during Sunday School and other church programs, being present in their lives outside the church walls, available for common concerns and in crisis situations. Leadership: Recruit and nurture Youth and Family Ministry program. Administration : Manage the planning process and coordinate with Pastor and Youth Committee all regular ministries to youth and their families. This includes youth of all ages on Sunday mornings and mid-week events; assisting with Confirmation, special events, trips and retreats, and parent meetings. Stewardship: Ongoing evaluation of the effectiveness of youth programs, manage youth ministry budget, and collaborate with the sponsors of each Youth group. Ability to build, lead, and empower youth. Ability to implement a ministry vision. Familiarity with Lutheran Doctrine required; must be comfortable teaching it and representing Lutheran Theology. Proficient computer skills using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, database, email, internet, and social media. Supervisory experience preferred. Ability to adapt and evaluate curriculum preferred. Must have excellent organization, communication (verbal and written), and listening skills, with a high degree of initiative and accountability. Exceptional interpersonal and relational skills required, with sensitivity to church members and visitors. Understanding and enjoyment of youth and families and guiding their spiritual development. James Michael Skrzycki, 59, of Seguin, Texas, passed away on Friday, Nov. 16, 2012. He was born on Nov. 30, 1952, in Seguin to Adeline (Doege) and Stanley Skrzycki Sr.

James is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Amelia Skrzycki; children Shamus Michael Skrzycki and wife and children, Sean Matthew Skrzycki and wife and children, and Tabrina Ann Skrzycki and children; stepchildren Jaime Arturo Marrujo and wife and children, Martha Cristina Griffis and children, and Nancy Kae Marrujo; his parents; brothers Stanley Skrzycki Jr. and wife Susan, Mark Skrzycki and wife Yvonne, Gary Skrzycki and wife Julie, and David Skrzycki; sister Jacqueline (Skrzycki) Kowalik and husband Robert; brothers-in-law Roman Fuentes, Toribio Fuentes Jr., and Hector A. Fuentes; and numerous nieces, nephews, and many loving friends.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, Nov. 20, from 5-8 p.m. with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. in the Finch Funeral Chapel in La Vernia.

A funeral Mass will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in St. Hedwig with the Rev. Bill Zadora and the Rev. Stanislaw Fiuk officiating.

Interment will follow in the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Cemetery in St. Hedwig.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.
