Letter: Appreciation extended to all involved with WCESD No. 1
Monday, Nov. 19, will mark the fourth anniversary of the first meeting called to order of the Wilson County Emergency Services District (WCESD) No. 1.
While many of the “originals” have moved on, there are a few of us still hanging around. When I look back on the last four years, I realize how far we have moved from infancy to the growing and thriving organization of today. I tip my hat to all the “originals” no matter what part they played.
Also, I cannot find the words to express my appreciation to all those who joined us along the way on this great adventure. You have helped us move this organization forward and helped to fulfill our commitment to “protecting the future of our community.” I am truly humbled when I look around at the caliber of those of you that give your time and support as volunteers and I stand in awe that you have allowed me to be a part of what you do. I can only ask that everyone in our community add volunteers to their list of Thanksgiving and that they let you know just how grateful they are.
Thank you. Thank you very much.
MICHAEL HANSON, President, Board of Commissioners, Wilson County ESD No. 1
