1936-2012

Ione Hummel passed away Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012, at the age of 76 years. She was born July 15, 1936, to Tillman and Margaret (Denn) Weed.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and daughter-in-law Carol Hummel.

Ione is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Roy Melvin Hummel Sr.; her sons, Roy Hummel Jr. and wife Phyllis, Tillman Hummel, Larry Hummel and wife Renee, and John Mark Hummel and wife Marilyn; her daughters, Pebble Williams and husband Ken and Melody West and husband Terry; 18 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, Nov. 23, from 9 a.m. to noon in the Finch Funeral Chapel in Stockdale, Texas.

A funeral service was held Friday at 2 p.m. in the First Baptist Church in Stockdale with the Rev. Ken Williams and the Rev. John Hallum officiating.

Interment followed in the Stockdale Cemetery in Stockdale.

Memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church, 202 S. Seventh St., Stockdale, TX 78160.
