Nina I. Couch Denson, 99, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, in the Mission Trail Baptist Hospital in San Antonio. She was born on June 29, 1913, to Oscar W. and Edna (Johnston) Couch in Gustine, Texas.

Nina was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a wonderful person who was loved by all. The family would like to send a special thanks to the staff of the third floor of Mission Trail Baptist Hospital and Buena Vida Nursing Home for the care and compassion shown to their mother.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Woodrow W. Denson; grandson Raymond L. Denson Jr.; and her siblings, Willa R. Caldwell, T.J. Couch, Bobby W. Couch, and Ernest W. Couch.

Nina is survived by her son, R.L. Denson and wife Annette; daughter Sylvia Denson Williams and husband Glenn; grandchildren Sandra Denson Rosales and husband Paul, Michelle Williams Rodriguez and husband Brandon, and Jason B. Williams and wife Caren; and nine great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was held on Friday, Nov. 30, at 2 p.m. in the Finch Funeral Chapel in Stockdale.

Interment followed in the Stockdale Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers were Jason Williams, Brandon Hiller, Brandon Rodriguez, and Paul Rosales. Memorial donations may be made in Nina’s name to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123 or
