1919-2012

Irene Camber Moczygemba, born June 3, 1919, to Louis and Rosie Kroll Camber, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012.

Irene grew up in Cestohowa, Texas. She was a devout Catholic and attended Holy Trinity Catholic Church when she married Leonard Moczygemba in 1945. They lived in Falls City and were owners of City Tailors and Dry Goods store for more than 30 years. Irene continued operating the business after her husband died at the age of 59 in 1974. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters Society, Altar Society, Rosary Circle, the Chamber of Commerce, and was involved in community service. In 2005, the Altar Society awarded her the 50th prestigious Honor Award for her dedicated and loyal service.

Irene was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard; sister Anne Titzman; brother Henry Camber; her parents; grandson Kevin Moczygemba; and great-grandson Graham Warner Leary.

She is survived by her children, Clifford Moczygemba and wife Yvonne, Roger Moczygemba, Barbara Hoffmann and husband Pat, and Billy Moczygemba and wife Eleanor; grandchildren Daryl Hoffmann, Michael Moczygemba, Mandi Leary, Chris Moczygemba, Matthew Moczygemba, Stephanie Lambert, and Mollie Moczygemba; great-grandchildren Morgan Moczygemba, McKenan Moczygemba, Beau Moczygemba, Brandy Nunez, Brent Nunez, and Harrison Leary.

A rosary was recited on Sunday, Dec. 9, at 6 p.m. in the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Falls City.
