ON-CALL CRISIS POOL WORKERS NEEDED. Part-time positions are available for after hours “on-call” crisis workers to respond to mental health crisis for Wilson and Karnes Counties. Duties include crisis interventions, assessments, referrals to stabilization services, and referrals for involuntary treatment services according to the Texas Mental Health Laws. You must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, etc. On-call hours are from 5 p.m.-8 a.m. weekdays, weekends and holidays vary. If selected, you must attend required training and must be able to report to designated safe sites within 1 hour of request for assessment. Sheridan “Danny” Collins passed away Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012, in San Antonio, Texas, at the age of 70 years, 9 months, and 15 days. He was born Feb. 21, 1942, in San Antonio, the son of James Steven and Ruth Collins. He was a resident of Floresville for 33 years. Danny was a member of the First Baptist Church of Floresville and the former owner of Wilson County Parts Store.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Danny is survived by his wife, Sharon Tope Collins of Floresville; his daughter, Kimberly Posey of Floresville; his son, Michael Collins; his sister, Lois Rogers and husband James of Bonham; his grandchildren, Madison Posey and Shelby Collins, both of Floresville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held Sunday, Dec. 9, at 5 p.m. in the Franklin Funeral Home Chapel in Floresville.

A funeral service was held Monday at 10 a.m. in the First Baptist Church in Floresville, with Pastor Mike Clements officiating.

Interment followed in the Campbellton Cemetery in Campbellton.
