Raymond Douglas Bauer went to be with the Lord on Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, at the age of 86. He was born on March 31, 1926, in Marion, Texas.

Raymond served his country proudly in the U.S. Marine Corps and retired from Coca Cola Bottling Co. after many years of service. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him, said his family.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Valerie A. Bauer; and four brothers and four sisters.

Raymond is survived by his daughters, Ilene McInvale and husband Buck and Christine Bielke; sons Clayton Bauer and wife Linda, Larry Bauer and wife Ruby, Kenneth Bauer and wife Louise, and Russell Bauer and wife Toni; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, Dec. 13, from 5-8 p.m. in the Mission Park Funeral Chapels South in San Antonio.

A funeral service will be held on Friday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home with interment following in the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio.
