1938-2012

Mary Louise Dugie Kopecki of San Antonio, Texas, 74, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012. Mary was born in Panna Maria on June 7, 1938, the daughter of Alois and Mary (Dugie) Mutz. She was a resident of San Antonio for 55 years and retired from Auto Zone after many years of service.

Mary was a member of the St. Benedict Catholic Church in San Antonio, ACTS, the Altar Society, East Side Coalition, and the Hein-Orchard Subdivision Association. She loved gardening, reading, sports, playing Bunco, and spending time with family and friends. Mary was loved very much by everyone, her family said.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Mary is survived by her husband, Louis B. Kopecki Sr. of San Antonio; her daughters, Josephine Sheldon and husband James, Linda Nichols and husband Lucky, and Peggy Kopecki; her son, Louis B. Kopecki Jr. and wife Kathy; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and brothers Vincent Mutz and Peter Mutz.

Visitation was held Tuesday, Dec. 4, at 6 p.m. in the St. Benedict Catholic Church in San Antonio, with a rosary recited at 7 p.m.

A funeral Mass was celebrated Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. in the church.

Interment followed in the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio.
