Christmas Gala tickets still available

FLORESVILLE -- The “Los Tres Amigos” Christmas Gala, which will feature Ruben Ramos, Roberto Pulido, Little Joe, and Paul Rodriguez, will be held in the Floresville Event Center Saturday, Dec. 15, beginning at 7 p.m.
The gala, which replaces the city of Floresville-sponsored Holiday Extravaganza, will feature the same artists and will be held in the same venue.
“This event is being put on by the artists themselves,” said former Mayor Daniel Tejada. “I am just helping them to get the word out and with ticket sales.”
“This event has made money for local businesses for the past two years,” Tejada said. “There have been at least 25 rooms booked at the Best Western already and we have been receiving calls from all over the country from people who are coming. This is one of the premier Tejano events statewide and beyond.”
In a communiqué sent by Andy Joslin to the Wilson County News, the Floresville city manager publicly stated the city of Floresville has no involvement with the gala.
“The city of Floresville is not involved in any way, shape, or form with the Dec. 15 event,” Joslin said. “The city council voted to cancel the Holiday Extravaganza and as such, no city participation will occur. The event center has since been booked by Daniel Tejada. As any other individual renting the center, Mr. Tejada will have to comply with stipulations in the center’s rental agreement.”
Tickets will be available for purchase at the door on the day of the event.
For tickets in advance or event information, contact Daniel Tejada at 830-391-4980.
