Four Falls City FFA members participated in the State FFA Leadership Development Events Dec. 1 at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville. The Senior FFA Quiz team comprised of seniors Theresa Fenner, Katy Wiatrek, and Luke Jimerson, and sophomore Chloe Wilson placed sixth out of 20 teams. Theresa was third high-point individual of the Senior Quiz contest.

The Senior FFA Quiz contest started with 605 teams competing statewide at the district level. The Falls City team placed first at the Nov. 15 LaBahia District contest, and first at the Nov. 19 Area 10 contest, to qualify for the state contest.

The Senior FFA Quiz is a 150-question exam testing team members’ understanding of the FFA, agricultural education, current agricultural events, and parliamentary procedure.
