Stockdale News: Meet BANG Air, Stockdale Oilfield Supply
By Carley Trout
The Stockdale Chamber of Commerce has many business members that support Chamber activities around Stockdale.
One of the businesses is BANG Air, located on Main Street. They started up the electrical part of the business in March of 2008. They do residential, commercial, and special lighting. Greg Schmidt owns this part of the business. They started the HVAC [heating, ventilation, and air conditioning] part of the business in November of 2010. They cover everything with this part of the business with a type “A” license. Angelicque Schmidt owns this part of the company.
The septic part of the business started in May of 2011, and Angelicque Schmidt owns this part of the business also. They install regular and aerobic septic tanks in the suburbs. It churns the sewage, fertilizes the grass, and is better for the environment. They donate money around town to help out organizations such as Project Graduation. In addition, they are part of the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo ticket committee, volunteer for the school, and have a Relay For Life team called “Bangs Angels For A Cure.” Needless to say, this business is very important to the Stockdale community and we appreciate everything that they do.
Another business that is a business member of the Chamber is Stockdale Oilfield Supply, located on Main Street. This business is owned by Brent Akin and was opened last August. They cover most surrounding areas such as Stockdale and Nixon. They donate to many organizations around town such as Peewee Football, the FFA, and Christmas on Main Street.
They also have another store in Jourdanton, which opened in October. It covers the surrounding areas such as Jourdanton, Westhoff, Karnes City, Pleasanton, Tilden, and Alice. This is another great company that Stockdale appreciates so much.
The Stockdale Chamber of Commerce is proud to have these two businesses as members and supporters.
