The Stockdale Blue Bonnet Club members, spouses, and guests met Dec. 3 for their annual Christmas Outing at the Grist Mill Restaurant in Gruene. One of the members, Edith Akin, was celebrating her 97th birthday this day, also. Her daughter, Judy Childress, presented Ms. Edith with a beautifully decorated birthday cake and the club presented her a birthday card signed by all present. She was so surprised and pleased to be honored by her family and friends.

After a time of fellowship, Butch Carden gave the blessing of the food and the gathering of friends and club members. A dinner was enjoyed by all amid the bright Christmas decorations and pleasant atmosphere.

Attending the dinner and outing were members Edith Akin, Linda and Butch Carden, Judy and Larry Childress, Kay Deagen, Helen and Ben Deason, Frances and James Hastings, Cathy Hilton, Sue McLelland, Bernice and John Tom Person, Molly and T. C. Rowell, Pat and Rick Rutland, Barbara and Ronald Wiatrek, Billie Jo Wolff, and Teri and Ray Wolff; and guests Margaret Hastings, Leslie Garza, and Lori McLelland.

The group ended the evening with more visiting and enjoying the area Christmas lights.
