Slade Corey Combs, 42, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away on Monday, Dec. 17. He was born on Feb. 28, 1970, in San Antonio to Dennis and Sandra Kay (McBee) Combs.

Slade was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his grandmother, Arleen McBee; wife Summer Darby-Combs; son Slade Corey Combs II; daughters Sandra Jolene Combs, Desere Raquel, and Lorelei Danielle; grandchildren Christian Cain, Alizae Lisette, and Roselyn Magdalena; a special loving friend, Jayme Jeffreys; numerous other family members; and great friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, Dec. 20, from 6-8 p.m. in the Finch Funeral Chapel in La Vernia.

A funeral service was held on Friday at 10 a.m. in the funeral chapel with the Rev. Randy Warren officiating.

Interment followed in the Post Oak Cemetery in Guadalupe County.
