All: This is the first of hopefully many brief logs with photos. I hope you enjoy our journey.
November 29th:
Incredible anticipation was overtaken by complete exhaustion after 30 hours of flying and layovers-San Antonio to Dallas, to Miami, to Madrid and finally we arrived in Venice. A 30-minute bus ride from the airport to Piazzale Roma where we boarded a waterbus to take us to our stop at San Zaccaria to meet Lorenzo, our B&B host.
Through the narrow walkways over several small bridges, we made our way with our luggage to our home for the next three days. Unfortunately, it was raining for most of the time we were there, but it couldn’t dampen our sightseeing. Venice is a beautiful city, full of museums, churches, art, small restaurants and gelato shops and we are soanxious to see it all. |
