With the potential for heavy rain from the slow-moving storm system passing through South Central Texas during the next 36 hours, area residents should use extra care on the roads. There is the possibility of flash flooding in some areas.
Due to the threatening weather, some events are canceled or postponed.
This includes tonight’s meeting of the La Vernia Historical Association, set for 7 p.m. in the GVEC Community Room on U.S. 87 in La Vernia, which has been canceled. The next meeting of the association is Tuesday, Feb. 5, at 7 p.m. in the GVEC Community Room, according to association President Elaine M. Stephens.
If your event is canceled or postponed due to the weather today or tomorrow, please list it here!
