ON-CALL CRISIS POOL WORKERS NEEDED. Part-time positions are available for after hours “on-call” crisis workers to respond to mental health crisis for Wilson and Karnes Counties. Duties include crisis interventions, assessments, referrals to stabilization services, and referrals for involuntary treatment services according to the Texas Mental Health Laws. You must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, etc. On-call hours are from 5 p.m.-8 a.m. weekdays, weekends and holidays vary. If selected, you must attend required training and must be able to report to designated safe sites within 1 hour of request for assessment. 1945-2012

Edward Allen Williams, 67, of Gillett, Texas, passed away on Monday, Dec. 31, 2012. He was born on June 15, 1945, in Gillett to Homer Williams and Lola Mae Eli.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings Florence Glenn, Mary Lister, Otis Williams Sr., Lola “Sis” Norwood, Julia O’Nell, and Julis Williams.

He is survived by his loving wife of 14 years, Vivian Williams; sons Fernando “Dugie” Rosas, Edward Allen Williams Jr., Marcus Ochoa, Phillip Williams, and John Williams; daughters Carol Price, Cyndy Radicke, and Ambria Williams; 19 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers Louis “Sonny” Williams Sr. and Frank Williams; sisters Sybil Williams and Leora “Cookie” Bradshaw; numerous nieces and nephews; and many loving friends.

Visitation was held on Saturday, Jan. 5, from 1-2 p.m. in the Finch Funeral Chapel in La Vernia.

A funeral service was held on Saturday at 2 p.m. in the funeral chapel.

Interment followed in the Gillett Cemetery in Gillett.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
