1966-2013

Katie Rain Dowd Curby of Poth, Texas, passed away Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013, in San Antonio at the age of 46 years, 2 months, and 6 days. She was born Oct. 30, 1966, in Floresville to Jimmie and Dixie Dowd. She was a lifelong resident of the Floresville area.

She is survived by her husband, Randy Curby of Poth; her parents, Jimmie and Dixie Dowd of Floresville; her father- and mother-in-law, Homer and Carolyn Curby of Beeville; her brothers, Scotty McClaugherty and Hugh Ray McClaugherty, both of Tilden; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and --nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in the Franklin Funeral Home Chapel in Floresville.

Inurnment will follow at a later date.
