Offer condolences


Henry Broll Jr., a lifelong resident of Camp Ranch and Floresville, Texas, entered eternal rest Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, at 4:45 a.m. in the Floresville Nursing Center in Floresville at the age of 89 years, 4 months, and 21 days. Henry was born Aug. 19, 1923, in Cestohowa, the son of Henry and Elizabeth Moczygemba Broll.

He attended Cestohowa Catholic School and was a farmer. Henry married JoAnn Laskowski on Nov. 20, 1951, in the St. Ann Catholic Church in Kosciusko. Henry was a veteran of the Korean War and was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Floresville.

Henry was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his loving wife of more than 61 years, JoAnn Laskowski Broll; his children, Shirley Toscano and husband Sal, Erwin Broll and wife Terri, Shary Broll and wife Barbara, Shelby Broll and wife Barbara, and Sheryl Camber and husband Leroy; his grandchildren, Nicole Toscano, Ashley Broll Konkle, Cody Broll, Stephen Broll, Landry Carlton, Casey Broll, Kelsea Camber Owens, and Clayton Camber; his brother, Bron Broll and wife Lillian Laskowski Broll; and his sister-in-law, Irene Ibrom and husband Victor.

Visitation was held on Saturday, Jan. 12, at 8:30 a.m. with a rosary recited at 9:30 a.m. in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Floresville. A funeral Mass was held on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in the church officiated by the Rev. Phillip Henning.

Interment followed in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Floresville.

Serving as pallbearers were Cody Broll, Harvey Broll, Clayton Camber, Leroy Camber, Norbert Skloss, and Sal Toscano.
