Help Wanted

ON-CALL CRISIS POOL WORKERS NEEDED. Part-time positions are available for after hours “on-call” crisis workers to respond to mental health crisis for Wilson and Karnes Counties. Duties include crisis interventions, assessments, referrals to stabilization services, and referrals for involuntary treatment services according to the Texas Mental Health Laws. You must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, etc. On-call hours are from 5 p.m.-8 a.m. weekdays, weekends and holidays vary. If selected, you must attend required training and must be able to report to designated safe sites within 1 hour of request for assessment. Compensation is at a rate of $200 per week plus $100 per completed and submitted crisis assessment, and mileage. If interested call Camino Real Community Services, 210-357-0359.

Sabrina Y. Amezquita passed away Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, in Floresville, Texas, at the age of 13 years, 2 months, and 17 days. Sabrina was born Oct. 24, 1999, in San Antonio to Jose Omar and Mary DeLaFuente Amezquita. She was a lifelong resident of Floresville.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jose O. Amezquita.

Sabrina is survived by her mother, Mary DeLaFuente Amezquita of Floresville; her grandparents, Joe and Mary Barrera of Floresville; her great-grandmother, Lilly Torres of Floresville; her sisters, Kitelyn Avila, Joselyn DeLaFuente, and Liliana Ornelas, all of Floresville; her brothers, Diego Amezquita and Anthony DeLaFuente, both of Floresville; her uncles, Joe Barrera and Juan Barrera, both of Floresville; her aunt, Debra Cruz of Floresville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held Monday, Jan. 14, at 3 p.m. in the Franklin Funeral Home in Floresville, with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. in the chapel.

A funeral Mass was celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Floresville.

Interment followed in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Floresville.
