Rick’s Hats & boots offers gear for cowboys, workers
PLEASANTON -- Seeking to complete your Western look or just needing to replace that worn-out pair of boots? Rick’s Hats & Boots is just a short drive away in Pleasanton and offers a wide variety of boots and hats to fill your needs.
Established Nov. 15, owners Rick Garza and Randy Petty opened the retail store, offering boots, Western felt and straw hats, and a lot more.
Workers in the Eagle Ford shale oil fields or ranchers seeking work boots can select from Red Wing Shoe Co. and Justin Boot Co.
If you need something fancier for a night out on the town, select from a range of dress boots by Justin Boot Co. and Lucchese Inc. Rick’s selection includes boots for everyone --men, ladies, and children.
Top your outfit off with help from Garza, Petty, or manager Susie Talamantez, who can offer Western straw and felt hats by Stetson Hats and American Hat Co. Accessories are available, too, including belt buckles, hatbands, caps, belts, and Western wallets.
Rick’s also offers cleaning and reshaping of hats.
Garza, who was raised in Pleasanton, is no stranger to men’s and boys attire, since he worked for Dowdy’s Mens & Boys Wear for 14 years. He also owned a custom cap and T-shirt business in Pleasanton for more than 12 years.
Rick’s Hats & Boots is located at 416 W. Oaklawn Road, Ste. A, in Pleasanton. Hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
