Eagle Ford: Trials set for Feb. 25
Jury selection for a number of defendants with criminal cases has been reset to Feb. 25, following docket call Jan. 8 in Wilson County District Court. Among the suspects, who also are set to return to court for a Feb. 5 docket call, are:
•Jordan Lewis, 29, of San Antonio, who is charged with aggravated robbery, attempted aggravated kidnapping, escape, evading arrest or detention with a vehicle, and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle following a March 3, 2012, escape from the Wilson County Jail. He also will stand trial for his alleged role in a Nov. 7, 2011, burglary.
•Bobby Schroeder, 29, of Floresville, who is charged with aggravated robbery, aggravated kidnapping, and burglary of a habitation with intent to commit aggravated robbery, for his alleged role in a March 15, 2012, incident in Floresville.
Not on the docket, but following the same schedule, is former La Vernia Junior High School Principal Maria Elena Wildenstein, charged with misapplication by a fiduciary. She was scheduled to appear in court Jan. 14 for a pretrial hearing.
