POTH -- The Poth Police Department will have a new chief, following a unanimous vote by the city council at a Jan. 21 special meeting.

La Vernia resident Lowell Hull was selected after the council interviewed him and Poth Police Sgt. Troy Phillips. Hull is a 30-year San Antonio Police Department veteran.

According to City Secretary Rose Huizar, the two were among 33 who applied for the position.

The chief of police of poth. Thats just all sorts of wrong. Yall could give him lots of titles like detective or general, still gonna sit on side of the road handing out tickets. In poth.yay.
