Eagle Ford: Colleges, university offer Eagle Ford training
At the Eagle Ford Consortium Energy Workshop in San Antonio on Jan. 14, representatives from Alamo Colleges and Texas Christian University (TCU) Energy Institute announced a series of new energy training programs related to the oil and gas boom taking place in South Texas. The TCU Energy Institute will be conducting the programs at Palo Alto College and the Alamo Colleges University Center.
The Professional Land Management Program is an exciting course that takes people from being oil and gas novices to having a solid knowledge foundation about land management in the oil and gas industry.
The Royalty Owner Program provides a deep understanding of what to expect when a mineral owner becomes involved with this newfound energy boom. Course instructors are mineral management experts who will address energy law, leasing, royalty payments, taxes, recordkeeping, and other topics to even the playing field when mineral owners interact with oil and gas operators.
Registration is open, with classes set to begin in late January. Classes will be held at the Alamo University Center and Palo Alto College.
