Tony Divin, 86, of Loire, Texas, passed away Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, in Jourdanton. He was born Oct. 6, 1926.

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Mark Isaiah Divin; daughter-in-law Pat Divin; his brothers, Lloyd Divin, Ben Divin, Joseph Divin, and Fred Divin; and his sisters, Mary Lou Pesek and Pauline Pesek.

Tony is survived by his wife, Theresa Divin of Loire; his sons, Michael Divin of Tilden, Wayne Divin and wife Mary of Loire, and Paul Divin and wife Adrienne of Pleasanton; and his daughters, Linda Hall and husband Travis of Loire, and Debbie Hevner and husband Brian of Loire. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, V. J. Pesek of Corpus Christi; his sister-in-law, Margie Divin of Harlingen; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held Monday, Jan. 21, from 5-9 p.m. in St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Loire, with a rosary recited at 7 p.m.

A funeral Mass was celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the church.

Interment followed in St. Luke’s Cemetery in Loire.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
