Joe T. Garcia, a lifelong resident of Floresville, Texas, entered eternal rest on Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, at 10:40 a.m. in the Frank M. Tejeda Texas State Veterans Home in Floresville, at the age of 88 years, 4 months, and 22 days. Joe was born Aug. 27, 1924, in Karnes City, the son of Manuel and Elvira Torres Garcia. Joe attended Labatt School and was a truck driver. He served his country in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  . . .
