1943-2013

Albert Broughton of La Vernia, Texas, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, at the age of 69. He was born April 5, 1943, in Jacksonville, Fla., to Albert and Gladys Broughton.

He was employed with the East Central Independent School District for the last 19 years. Albert was married to Josie Broughton for 47 years, who preceded him in death on Nov. 29, 2009.

He is survived by his daughter, Cheryl Trammell and husband Wayne of La Vernia; grandson Wayne “Gator” Trammell Jr. of La Vernia; and his Aunt Margaret of Jacksonville, Fla.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, Jan. 22, from 5-9 p.m. in the Mission Park Funeral Chapels South in San Antonio.

A funeral service was held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the funeral chapel.

Interment followed in the Mission Burial Park South in San Antonio.
